We loved the idea of eating in an old train car and the reviews sealed the deal.  Now I can say that they were absolutely correct, food, service and atmosphere is wonderful!  The ribs are to die for.  Fall off the bone and the sauce used is light yet extremely flavorful.  The sangria was really good and not just a bunch of ice!  My husband had a steak in pepper cream sauce which was also really good.  Most surprising was that the fries were the best we had while in Cascais.  Clever , our waiter, was really super.  Definitely will come again!

Lunch birthday celebration with friends. Food and wine were both amazing and service was outstanding.

All dishes were well prepared, hot and very tasty. Server was very kind and made good recommendations. A very nice dinner on a rainy night in Cascais.

Great food in a great atmosphere. We really enjoyed the moules of the week and a delicious steak with a great matching wine. We will go back

Fantastic food in a great spot right on the beach. Feels like the food is better than you&rsquo;d expect which is always a great experience. We ended up going twice it was so good, highly reccomend the prawn and Scallop dish with the tomatoey sauce. Can&rsquo;t remember the name of it but best thing I&rsquo;ve eaten in Portugal. The poke bowl is fab too!

Once again, we had an excellent meal and service at Visconde da Luz. We often bring visitors there, and to a person they are delighted by both the quality of the food, and the outstanding hospitality that the staff consistently brings to its guests. Their cataplana is magnificent, truly world class. I guarantee that you&rsquo;ll want to return after having dined there once.

We celebrated boyfriends birthday. Great ambience, petite and cute place. We forgot to mention that we booked on Fork (ups, our mistake), so it was a bit more expensive than we thought it would be, but worth it. Can&#39;t wait to return.

Trem Velho, an old rail car made over into a restaurant.  used to come to this restaurant a lot. One bad experience spoiled it, the cook wasn&#39;t listening to the way I wanted my steak cooked. I wanted no blood, but pink.  It kept coming back with blood. A year has passed and I thought i would give it one more go as I did love this place.  Last night. was perfect. The meat was prepared just the way I asked and it was delicious. So was the Margarita w/o a sweet n sour mix, just tequila, triple sec and lime!!  Okay, I will be going back.  You should give it a try.

Very rude place. While we were eating, three people lit up cigarettes at the bar just behind our table so smoke was coming straight over us.  Nobody asked us if we minded. When we asked the waiter, he then opened the door and windows next to us - again without asking us,  it was late December so we got very cold. When we complained to the manager he was very rude, said the smokers came every day and we could go elsewhere!

Um restaurante pequeno, muito bonito, mas enorme na qualidade e na rapidez do servi&ccedil;o, na simpatia, tudo nota 10, &oacute;ptima rela&ccedil;&atilde;o pre&ccedil;o/qualidade! A small, very nice, but huge restaurant in quality and speed of service, in sympathy, all note 10, excellent price/quality ratio! That&#39;s what it&#39;s worth, congratulations, continue, we&#39;ll be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
